Making A Difference

Serving victims of child abuse and their families.

MISSION: For 25 years, The New York Center for Children has provided free, bilingual, trauma-focused, comprehensive evaluation and therapy services to victims of child abuse and their families, for as long as their healing requires.

In addition, we provide free tutoring, mentoring and extracurricular events. The Center’s services are offered in a child-friendly and welcoming environment. NYCC serves children from all five boroughs of New York City.

The New York Center for Children (NYCC) was founded in 1995 as the Children’s Advocacy Center of Manhattan.

Therapy & Healing

When a child has been abused, the most important first step is to provide her or him with a safe, accepting environment.

It seems that hardly a week goes by without news of a trusted child care worker being arrested for child abuse. Is your child is safe?

NYCC is at the forefront of a number of educational projects focused on early intervention, prevention and treatment of child abuse.
