The New York Center for Children is proud to partner with the Polished Man Campaign as the sole U.S. beneficiary for the sixth year in a row in 2020. The campaign brings attention to the staggering statistic that 1 child dies every 5 minutes as a result of violence worldwide. We invite you to paint a nail this October to spark conversation, raise awareness, and defend children everywhere. Visit polishedman.com to learn more!
The campaign is supported by local and international celebrities including actors Craig Conover, Zac Efron and Chris Hemsworth, NFL champion Tony Richardson and singer Vance Joy.
- 1 in 5 children are subject to physical and/or sexual violence before the age of 18. That’s one in five too many.
- The power to stop this is in your hands. It starts with painting a fingernail.
- That nail leads to a conversation. That conversation inspires a donation. That donation allows for prevention and protection of children from abuse.
- It ends in a world where no child suffers from violence.
Because it shouldn’t hurt to be a child. And we all have the power to change this.
